Our journey begins...

In May of 2018, we were vacationing in Greece on the island of Samos. We stopped at a little café in Pythagoreio for a cold beer, and met a couple and their small dog from Norway. We got to chatting, and they told us that they lived on their sailboat for nine months out of the year, sailing around the Greek islands.

We thought, hmmmm, live? On a sailboat? People can really do that??

When we returned from our trip, Randy called around to see about learning to sail, and we landed at the Saylorville Yacht Club in Polk City, Iowa. They welcomed us with open arms, and we were able to crew on Wednesday Race Days, and even in the Regatta. I took sailing classes the next summer, and loved (almost) every minute.

We discovered that we loved sailing, and it was time to start looking for a boat of our own.
