So we're actually buying a boat?

After several month of researching sailboats, along with many hours spent watching YouTube sailing channels, Randy and Taylor went to the Annapolis Boat Show in October 2019 to see some sailboats in person. They toured many catamarans and monohulls, taking pictures and videos of each boat.

We decided that we wanted to find a used catamaran, and contacted some brokers in Florida for more information. Little did we know that the used catamaran market would shrink significantly as the Covid-19 virus made its way around the globe.

In May 2020, we travelled to Tampa FL to take some ASA courses. We wanted to experience sailing a catamaran, and learn about cruising and living aboard a boat. The classes were a success (thank you Captain Jim!), and we returned to Iowa and began making preparations to sell our home and move onto a catamaran.
